No sign shall display any moving parts, be illuminated with any flashing or <br />intermittent lights, or shall it be animated, except time and temperature <br />information. All displays shall be shielded to prevent any light to be directed at <br />oncoming traffic in such brilliance as to impair the vision of any driver. No <br />device shall be illuminated in such a manner as to interfere with or obscure an <br />official traffic sign or signal. This includes indoor signs which are visible from <br />public streets. <br />7. Projecting signs. <br />8. Roof signs. <br />9. Any sign which contains or consists of banners, pennants, ribbons, <br />streamers, string of light bulbs, spinners or similar devices, except where used <br />for noncommercial speech. <br />10. Portable signs. <br />11. Signs painted directly on building walls. <br />12. Signs which advertise an activity, business, product or service th,7t has not <br />been produced or conducted on the premises for more than thirty (30) days. <br />13. Illuminated signs or spotlights giving off an intermittent or rotating beam <br />existing as a collection or concentration of rays of light. <br />14. Revolving beacons, beamed lights or similar devices. <br />15. Bench signs. <br />10-29-5: SIGNS ALLOWED BY PERMIT IN R-1, R-1A, R-2, R-3A, R 3B, R-3C <br />DISTRICTS: <br />(A) Name Plate Signs: Any name plate signs over two (2) square feet shall be set <br />back at least ten feet (10') from any property line. No sign shall exceed ten feet <br />(101 in he;ght above the average grade level. Signs may be illuminated, but <br />such lighting shall be diffused or indirect and not illuminate beyond any lot line. <br />Any sign over ten (10) square feet may Droject only two feet (21 over any <br />required yard area. <br />(B) Free standing signs shall be permitted for the purpose o' it <br />identification of residential areas. At each principal entrance to suk,,..,, —ea. a <br />maximum of two (2) signs, not to exceed twenty (20) square feet per sign (of <br />actual sign area exclusive of walls or supports), shall be allowed.
