LMCD Board Minutes <br />August 27, 1986 <br />Page 6 <br />2. posters might be distributed via the marina association and <br />other agencies, <br />3. cost of billboard printing to the LMCD could be $70 - $100 <br />each, in lots of five, and <br />4. information should be supplied to local newspapers. <br />The committee recommended Board acceptance of the audit and recom- AUDIT <br />mended the Board review any necessary budget amendments for <br />changes. <br />Upon favorable reports on the 1986 boating trips, the committee BOAT <br />determined that all three trips should be continued for 1987 on TOURS <br />the same bases. <br />The committee approved a Save the Lake followup mailing scheduled SL <br />for August 25 to past contributors, a Board letter requesting Board CAMPAIGNS <br />members to help develop the lakeshore mailing list, and to further <br />develop a golf outing and fund-raising auction for 1987. <br />Upon advice that the office depot lease will expire the end of OFFICE <br />1987, the committee indicated the matter should be pursued in LEASE <br />reference to adequate parking and additional space requirements. <br />The committee was advised that the court has ruled favorably on <br />the LMCD Code distinguishing between commercial and residential <br />setback requirements in the North Shore Drive Marina case. <br />The committee was advised that charter -boat registration problems <br />similar to the District's are experienced on the St. Croix by the <br />U.S. Coast Guard. <br />Deicing applications have been distributed for 1987. The renewal <br />date is October 1. <br />The District has been advised that the Spring Park ramp has been SPRING <br />extended 20 feet. The project was completed August 19; however, PARK <br />make-ready docks not installed earlier because of the lateness of ACCESS <br />the project will be installed next year. <br />The Chairman appointed the Nominating Committee for 1987: <br />Pillsbury (Chairman), Garwood, and Kraemer. <br />Elam Moves-, Pillsbury Seconded that the committee report be <br />accepted. Aotion, Ayes J1OJ, Nays 10J. <br />Hurr Moved, Pillsbury Seconded that the Lake Management Study pro- <br />posal by Arndorfer Associates at $6,700 be accepted and a contract <br />executed.
