The setback from the <br />shoreline for lakeshore " L_.: <br />A. Shall be 75 feet for all structures except that on lakeshore lots <br />divided by a major thoroughfare, a lock box not in excess of 20 square <br />feet in area and 48 inches in height is allowed on the lakeshore <br />portion of the lot and requires a building permit from the City. <br />B. No principal or accessory structure shall be located within 75 feet <br />of the lakeshore nor closer to the lakeshore than the average dista- ce <br />from the shoreline of existing residence buildings on adjacent 1 is <br />(Refer to diagrams , Orono Manual of Design Standards and <br />Specifications) except that this does not apply to structure allowed <br />in subsection A above. <br />Subsection B would now include accessory structures under the <br />average setback standard. The average setback line wouid no <br />longer refer to "nearby lots" but the adjacent lots - the most <br />affected by new construction. Please also note the reference to <br />a design manual. <br />Diagrams shall be drafted by the F-taff showing how the setback <br />line is determined for varied lakeshore properties. <br />
