All other SWAT trainings <br />qualify for the Specialty Incentives in this section. <br />2 Use of Force, Fire Arms, 40mm, Taser, Defensive Tactics <br />ARTICLE 19 INSURANCE <br />19.1 Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with the Affordable Care Act, the EMPLOYER's <br />contribution per employee receiving medical coverage shall be 100% of the premium cost for <br />health insurance and an additional $100 per month toward a cafeteria benefit plan that offers health <br />insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, and dental insurance, subject to the health insurance <br />opt -out provisions set out in paragraph 19.2. <br />19.2 HEALTH INSURANCE OPT -OUT OPTION. If a health insurance opt -out option is <br />available with the City's group health insurance plan, an employee who has health insurance <br />through a group -sponsored plan elsewhere may elect to waive health insurance coverage. An <br />employee who waives health insurance coverage will receive $100 per month as an opt -out credit <br />to use through the City's cafeteria benefit plan. <br />19.3 An EMPLOYEE who elects to waive health insurance coverage, as provided in Paragraph <br />19.2, shall remain eligible to qualify for continued health insurance coverage from the <br />EMPLOYER under Minn. Stat. § 299A.465. For purposes of determining continued health <br />insurance coverage, an EMPLOYEE who waives health insurance coverage shall be treated as <br />though the EMPLOYEE had elected to and was receiving single health insurance coverage from <br />the EMPLOYER at the time the EMPLOYEE sustained a duty disability that entitles the <br />EMPLOYEE to continued health insurance coverage under Minn. Stat. § 299A.465. <br />ARTICLE 20 PART-TIME EMPLOYEE PAY AND BENEFITS <br />20.1 Part-time Police Officers will be placed into the same pay schedule as the Police Officers. <br />The Employer has the discretion to place a new employee into the pay schedule at a step other than <br />the start step as the Employer deems appropriate. <br />Part-time officers will be eligible for longevity pay based on years of service with the Orono Police <br />Department (full-time or part-time). <br />9 <br />223749v5 <br />75 <br />
