<br />lIL IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of orono,
<br />Mirnesota, as follows:
<br />1. The amount proper and necessary to be specially assessed
<br />at this time for the Strcvt Lighting Improvement 1968SL-1, (said improve
<br />rent for convenience has been designated on the assessment roll as
<br />Street Lighting 68SL-1) against every assessable lot, piece or parcel
<br />of land affected thereby has been duly calculated upon the basis of
<br />benefits, without regard to cash valuation, in accordant: with the
<br />provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and notice has been
<br />duly published, as required by law, that this Council would meet to
<br />hear, consider and pass upon all objections, if any, and said proposed
<br />assessment roll has at all times since its filing been open for public
<br />inspection, and an opportunity has been given to all interested persons
<br />their objections, if any, to such proposed assessments.
<br />2. This Council, having heard and considered all objections
<br />so presented, and being fully advised in the premises, finds that each
<br />of the lots, pieces and parcels of land enumerated in the proposed
<br />assessment roll was and is specially benefited by the installation and
<br />maintenance of said improvement in nut less than the amount of the
<br />assessment set opposite the description of each such lot, piece and
<br />parcel of land, respectively, and such amount so set out is hereby
<br />levied A-ainst each of the respective lots, pieces and parcels of land
<br />therein described.
<br />3. The propnaed assessments are hereby adopted and confirmed
<br />as the proper special assessments for each of said lots, pieces and
<br />parcels of land respectively, and the assessment against each parcel,
<br />shall be a lien concurrent with general taxes upon such parcel and all
<br />thereof. The total amount of each such assessment shall be payable in
<br />one installment to be payable with general taxes for the year 1969, payable
<br />in 1969.
<br />4. 1-or years after December 31, 1969, annual benefits arising
<br />from the maintenance of the inprovement will be assessed, on a cAiendar
<br />ycer ')psis, with payment to Ic made with the general taxes payable in
<br />the- r for which the assessment wi:: be levied.
<br />S. Prior to certification of the assessment to the County
<br />Auditor, the owner of any lot, piece or parcel of land assessed hereby may
<br />at any ti.-e pay the whole of such assessment to the County Treasurer.
<br />6. '",e Clerl, shall, as soon as may be, prepare and transmit
<br />to the County Auditor a certified duplicate of the assessment roll, with
<br />cacti unpaid assessment set forth separately, to be extended upon the proper
<br />tax lists of the County, and the County Auditor shall thereafter collect
<br />said assessments in the manner provided by law.
