Memo 485-28 <br />Csllyr'ia� MEETING <br />JUL 221905 <br />TO: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator fi; ORONO <br />CIS <br />FROM: TOM Kuehn, Finance Director <br />DATE: July 18, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: 1986 Budget Work Plan <br />As we discussed on Tuesday, July 16, there is a need to establish <br />tentative budget work session dates with she Council during <br />September. The first should be after the 9/9 Council meeting but <br />before the 9/23 Council meeting. The 1986 tax levy resolution <br />and special assessment resolutions must be adopted and sent to <br />the County before October 10, 1985, so the October 7 Council <br />meeting should be the target date for final adoption of the <br />budget, levy and special assessments, unless a special meeting is <br />necessary. <br />Council must also hold a public budget hearing on revenue sharing <br />prior to adopting the 1:c6 City budget. I would recommend 7:00 <br />p.m. on Monday, September 3, 1985. I will prepare a memo for you <br />and Council in August outlining the publishing and public hearing <br />requirements for the revenue sharing program. <br />TO: Mayor and City Council C I►-�I <br />FROM: Mark Bernherc-o , City Administrato � }U` <br />Absent any objections we would request you set aside the following <br />dates for budget work sessions: <br />- Thursday, Septembei 12 <br />- Tuesday, September 17 <br />- Monday, September 30 <br />It is realized that the budget work session may only take one session <br />and could be adopted as early as the regular meeting on September 23rd <br />but desire the other dates be set aside initially in case they are <br />needed. <br />
