MINUTES OF THE: REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL. ME•:ETING HELD JULY 8, 1985. PAGE. 10 <br />CASCO POIN— ROAD <br />TRAFFIC STJDY <br />After some discussion of item B. (see below), Council <br />indicated that they wish to proceed with this study and <br />have it completed by March 1, 1986. <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Frahm, to approve the adoption of a contract with John W. <br />Shardlow, of Dahlgren, Shardlow, and Uban, for <br />professional planning services as outlined in his <br />proposal dated June 28, 1985 (copy attached to these <br />minutes). Motion, Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />B. CLIFF OTTEN DEVELOPMENT <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth submitted a report dated <br />July 5, 1985 regarding the conceptual review of Cliff <br />Otten development. <br />Mayor Butler expressed her concerns for this type of use <br />in an area which is sewered. <br />CoL icilmember Adams felt it was a favorable type of use <br />and should approve it. <br />Councilmember Frahm agreed with Councilmember Adams, <br />that he favors this type of use. He suggested that it <br />could be done on a conditional use basis contingent upon <br />the corridor study outcome, if Otten is willing. <br />Council indicated that because they are proceeding with <br />the corridor s. ' no decision should be made until the <br />study is done <br />Based on Councils' discussion, Zoning Administrator <br />Mabusth had enough direction to advise Mr. Otten. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson submitted an estimated cost <br />breakdown (total material & labor $1,163.45) f r the <br />intersection change at Casco Point. Rd. & Dunwoody. <br />Bernhardson recommended the work be done. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Ham:nerel, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, to implement the proposed design <br />change, approving the expenditure eliminating the <br />bituminous curbing ( $675 . 00) . Motion, Ayes ( 5) , Nays ( 0) . <br />BIG I SI.ANU VETERANS CAME' <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated there was nothing <br />further to report can this mattes. <br />MTC ROUTE CHANGES <br />City Administ rater Bernhardson reported the rout charge was <br />shifting from S. brown Rd. to Old Crysta) Bay Rd. He stated <br />appropriate person.; would be notified. <br />
