CITY OF ORONO <br />Page 5 <br />staff will prepare the necessary amendments to the <br />Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance and other official <br />documents to implement this plan. <br />2. Both the amount of work and the specific nature of the work <br />in this phase will be dependent upon the nature of the <br />chosen plan. The City staff will prepare written summary <br />materials for review and discussion at both the Planning <br />Commission Pnd City Council meetings (or joint meetings). <br />The CONSULTANT will attend these meetings to assist the <br />public officials in this process. <br />3. The CONSULTANT will be available to assist the CITY in <br />processing a comprehensive plan amendment through the <br />Metropolitan Council and to assist the CTTY in dealing with <br />any State, or Regional agencies which may be effected by <br />the plan. <br />LEAD ROLE: City staff with support from the CONSULTANT. <br />PRODUCT TO BE PROVIDED <br />The CONSULTANT shall provide the CITY with written and graphic <br />materials as may be required during the Study process. Board <br />mounted, color rendered exhibits will be prepared, along with <br />slides for purposes of public presentations. <br />INFORMATION TO BE FURNISHED BY THE CITY <br />The CITY shall be responsible for providing legal, engineering, <br />and surveying services as may be required. The CONSULTANT <br />shall work in close liaison with these experts throughout the <br />course of the project. None of these services will be <br />requested without prior consent from the CITY. <br />PUBLIC MEETINGS, PUBLIC HEARINGS, WORKING MEETINGS <br />The estimated cost which follows is based upon the assumption <br />that to coi ate the proposed study numerous public meetings <br />and workinf tings will be required. It is anticipated that <br />at least f and perhaps as many as ten working meetings will <br />be held w► the City staff, and at least two meetings each <br />with the City Attorney and consulting engineer. <br />In addition, based upon the process outlined above, at least <br />eight public workshop meetings will be required, as well as a <br />minimum of two public hearings. <br />
