CITY OF ORONO <br />Page 4 <br />4. The CONSULTANT will attend the next scheduled joint <br />workshop meeting and present and discuss the alternative <br />land use plans. <br />5. Following the joint workshop meeting, the City staff will <br />complete a written summary of the review and analysis of <br />alternative plans for inclusion in the Study report. <br />LEAD ROLE: The CONSULTANT will be responsible for preparing <br />the alternative development plans identified in this section <br />a,id for presenting them to the Planning Commission and City <br />Council. The City staff will be responsible for documenting <br />this process and completing the section of the Study Report <br />summarizing this phase. <br />Phase 4 Refinement of Selected Alternative, Development of <br />Final Plan <br />1. Based upon the consensus developed at the conclusion of <br />Phase 3 above, the CONSULTANT will refine the selected <br />alternative plan. Depending upon the level of agreement <br />regarding the selected alternative, the refined alternative <br />will either be presented to the Planning Commission at a <br />workshop, or the process may skip directly to a joint <br />workshop meeting with the City Council. <br />2. Following the refinement of the selected alternative, th:,, <br />final plan will be prepared, along with a written summary <br />of the process which transpired to arrive at it. <br />3. When the final plan is ready, the CONSULTANT will prepare a <br />summary presentation of the entire process, to be given at <br />a public hearing at the Planning Commission level. <br />4. Following the recommendation of the Planning Commission, <br />the CONSULTANT will attend the City Council meeting, at <br />which final plan approval is to be considered. <br />LEAD ROLE: The CONSULTANT and the City staff will share the <br />responsibility for the completion of this phase of the Study. <br />The CONSULTANT will complete the graphic portions of the <br />product and the City staff will prepare the written portion c,f <br />the Study, with the advice and counsel of the CONSULTANT. <br />Phase 5 Implement;-ition <br />1. When the City Council has accepted the final nlan and has <br />approved it as the official direction which the CITY wishes <br />to take in the future development of this area, the City <br />
