r <br />8.2.2 Engineer will record time required by Engineer and Engineer's con- <br />sultants in evaluating substitutions proposed by Contractor and in making <br />changes in the Drawings or Specifications occasioned thereby. Whether or not <br />Engineer accepts a proposed substitute, Contractor shall reimburse Owner for <br />the charges of Engineer and Engineer's consultants for evaluating any proposed <br />substitute. <br />8.3 MATERIALS FIIRNISNED BY OWNER <br />8.3.1 Materials specifically indicated shall be furnished by the Owner. Be- <br />fore incorporating any of the materials into the Work, the Contractor shall <br />inspect the materials so furnished by the Owner. If. the Contractor discovers <br />�s any patent defects in material furnished by the Owner, he shall notify the <br />Engineer. <br />8.1.2 Unless otherwise noted or specifically stated, materials furnished by <br />t the Owner are considered to be f.o.b. the nearest railroad station or truck <br />line. The Contractor shall transport the materials to the job site, unload <br />and properly protect all such materials from damage or loss. The Contractor <br />shall he responsible for material loss or damage after receipt of materials at <br />the point of delivery. <br />8.4 STORAGE. OF MATERIALS <br />Materials shall be so stored by the Contractor as to insure the preservation <br />of their quality and fitness for the Work. When considered necessary, they <br />I� shall he placed on wooden platforms or other hard, clean surfaces, and/or they <br />shall be placed under cover and not on the ground. Stored materials shall be <br />located so as to facilitate prompt inspection. Private property shall not be <br />• used for storage purposes without the written permission :if the Owner or les- <br />see thereof. <br />8.5 SAMPLES <br />ks <br />All samples called for in tho Specifications or required by the Engineer shall <br />F i <br />be furnished by the Contractor and shall be submitted to the Engineer for his <br />b+ review. Samples shall be furnished so as not to delay the commencement or <br />completion of the Project. The Contractor shall furnish such samples of mate- <br />rial as may be required for examination and testing. All materials and work- <br />manship shall be in accordance with approved samples.
