2. Announcement of the Metropolitan Council's program <br />entitled, 'The State of the Region', to be held January <br />30, 1985. <br />3. Notice from the Water Resources Board noting the <br />expiration of the terms of Managers Lehman and Carroll <br />on March 8, 1985. <br />Treasurer's Report <br />Treasurer Carroll distributed his monthly Treasurer's <br />Report dated January 17, 1985. It was noted that on page six of <br />eight the payment shown to the City of Mound is not in fact being <br />made tnis month. The Treasurer agreed to discuss this matter with <br />the accountant. Following review of the report and the funds <br />availaole for investment and the status of the various project <br />accounts of the District, it was moved by Andre, seconded by <br />Thomas, that the Treasurer's Report dated January 17, 1985 be <br />approved and the bills paid as set forth in that report. Upon <br />vote the motion carried. <br />City of Minneapolis/Creek Hydrologic Study <br />Manager Carroll reported that he had had preliminary <br />discussions with the staff at the City of Minneapolis regarding <br />payment of the outstanding billing due from the City of <br />Minneapolis. <br />Upper Watershed Storage and Retention Project/Painter Creek <br />Subwatershed <br />The engineer reported that construction of Project No. <br />4 had commenced on January 9, 1985 in Painter Marsh. The engineer <br />advised that the contractor would be sidecasting the dredged <br />material and that sidecasting had been authorized by the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Nesources. The engineer distributed a <br />proposed Change Order Number 1 to modify the contract documents to <br />allow sidecasting and to modify the unit prices applicable to <br />projects 2, 3, and 4. The engineer recommended approval of <br />proposed Change Order No. 1. It was moved by Andre, seconded by <br />Tnomas, that the Change Order de approved and executed on behalf <br />of the District. Upon vote the motion carried. <br />The engineer reported that the City Council of the City <br />of Minnetrista has authorized access across the park property <br />identified in the condemnation action as Parcel 25. The engineer <br />identified the alternate route for access to Project No. 6, and <br />advised that this change would permit the District to avoid using <br />
