AGGRECATF. BASF <br />General Requirements <br />2211.0. SPECIFICATION RF.FERENCF.: Section 2211 of the State of Minnesota De- <br />partment of Transportation "Standard Specifications for Highway Construction," <br />19P3 Edition and all amendments thereto shall apply except as modified or al- <br />tered is the following General Requirements. <br />2211.1. DESCRIPTION: This work shall consist of constructing one or more <br />courses of aggregate base on a prepared subgrade. <br />2211.2.1. AGGREGATE: The class of aggregate to be used in each course will <br />be shown on the plans or indicated in the Proposal and will meet the require- <br />ments of Mn/DOT Specification 3138. <br />2211.3. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS: Construction requirements shall be in <br />conformance with Mn DOT Spec—cification 2211.3 with the following specific re- <br />quirements. <br />2211.f.1. GENERAL: The base shall he constructed in layers not exceeding <br />three (3) inches to compacted thickness, each of which shall be compacted to <br />not less than 100 percent of Maximum Density. Compaction shall be obtained by <br />the Specified Density Method. Water shall be applied in conjunction w-th mix- <br />ing, spreading and compacting operations, when and in tbe amounts directed by <br />the Engineer. <br />7211.4. MFCHOD OF MEASUREMENT: Aggregate hasp, of each class will be measured <br />as indicated in the Proposal by weight in tons of material deposited on the <br />roadway. <br />2211.5.
