"VALVE BOX" Any device.which can stop septic tank effluent from <br />owing to a portion of the soil treatment area. Includes, but <br />is not limited to caps or plugs on distribution or drop box outlets, <br />divider boards, butterfly valves, gate valves or -other mechanisms. <br />"WATERTABLE" The highest elevation in the soil where all voids <br />are it ed with water, as evidenced by presence of water or soil <br />r mottling or other information. <br />"SEASONALLY HIGH WATERTABLE" The temporary or perched depth of <br />-soil which is saturated during a season, a temporary period of <br />time, or as a temporary condition. <br />"NORMAL (or ORDINARY) HIGH WATER MARK" A mark -delineating the <br />igest water level which has been maintained for a sufficient <br />` period of time to leave evidence upon the landscape. The normal <br />high water mark is commonly that point where the natural vegetation <br />i changes from predominantly aquatic to predominantly terrestrial. <br />"WATERTIGHT" Constructed so that water cannot get in or out except <br />through the outlet or inlet piping. <br />16 <br />
