10. PROJECT COMPLETION: The Contractor shall commence work immpdiately upon <br />receipt of signed contracts. Completion of the project shall be not later <br />than May 15, 1984. <br />11. LIOUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages shall be One Hundred rallars <br />($100.00), per calendar day to cover all cc,ts as specified in the General .•� <br />Conditions of the Contract, after the specified date of completion. <br />12. PERMITS AND FEES: The Owner will anply for the Pity bolting permit. <br />Tt - building permit fee will. be waived by the 'ity. The City will also pay "► <br />the state surcharge. <br />13. SPEC:-?ICATION AND PLAN RESPONSIBILITY Ear" contractor and subcontractor <br />is respc.,sible_fo: reviewing all sections of the plans and specifications. <br />Thin means tbat all trndes shall review and be familiar with one another's <br />plans and specifications and each trade shall carefully coordinate his work <br />with all others. <br />14. COLD WEATHER PROTECTION: The General Contractor shall be particularly <br />diligent in protecting all materials and construction from damage due to cold <br />or inclement weather and shall replace at his own expense any portions of the <br />building or items so damaged. <br />15. BID DESCRIPTION: The project is to be bid on a lump sum basis, including <br />all necessary general construction, as described below. <br />The total bid shall include the following: Installation of the handicapped <br />access ramp, including: <br />1. Site grading and building excavation F <br />2. Granular base installation, concrete ramps <br />and reinforced concrete footings <br />3. Concrete block walls <br />4. Patching and cleanup of existing bituminous surface <br />V -! <br />16. OWNERS RIGHTS: The City Council retains the right to accept or reject <br />any or all of the bids. <br />17. BITUMINOUS STREET REPAIR: The bituminous patching shall be completed in <br />accordance with Section 2800. The contractor will be required to place 2" of <br />bituminous surfacing and 4 inches of Class 5 gravel base in all areas where <br />bituminous patching is required.
