Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />Lear Mayor Grabek and City Council Members: <br />As you know, our Westonka Senior Center has been in existence almost <br />seven ye_ara. During that time, we have seen the growth of participating <br />senior c;.tizens and the increasing need for more service. The projection <br />for the year 2015 is that these numbers of persons over 65 will more than <br />double. We have been very appreciative of the financial support we have <br />received from our four sponsoring Cities of Mound, Spring Park, Orono and <br />Minnetrista. We also realize that the demands on your budgets can only be <br />strained so far. <br />Two years ago we met with your City Manager and the other Cities' Managers <br />and promised to come up with an idea for sustaining funds. <br />We have done this! We have formed Lhe Westonka Senior Citizens Foundation <br />with the help of many of our community friends. We are attempting to ac- <br />cumulate a large fund frum which the interest will be used to perpetuate <br />the -uality services to the elderly of i 0v Wr:;tonka area. <br />We will be kicking off our campaign on October 23rd by having the Founda- <br />tion dedicated at all our local churches on that day.
