The applicant is hereby advised that the City must be notified <br />immediately of any changes in the present condition of the hazardous <br />substances on the property or of any new areas found to contain <br />hazardous substances. <br />2. The City is to review and approve the monitoring information on <br />the discharge water from the filtering devices before they enter the <br />City sewer system. This responsibility shall be shared with the <br />M.W.C.C. <br />3. Earthen dikes to be constructed as deemed necessary by the City <br />as a protection against the failure of the system to prevent <br />contamination from getting into Long Lake. <br />4. This approval reconfirms all conditions set forth by the M.W.C.C. <br />in their approval letter dated 9/28/88. <br />5. Contaminated soils excavated from trench installation must be <br />contained/stored per approval by M.P.C.A. guidelines. <br />The second phase of this application review will be tabled until the <br />M.P.C.A. has completely approved the air stripping method for excavated <br />contaminated soils. The Orono staff would ask for the following <br />information and/or submittals to complete this phase of the review: <br />A) Temporary/interium grading plan to show area designated for <br />filling or contaminated soils; <br />B) Method to physically confine or treat direct surface run-off from <br />site while under the evaporation s:3ge; <br />C) Provide time schedule for turn -over and regrade process; <br />D) Establish the length of time to complete the evaporation process. <br />E) City Engineer to determine need for additional information on this <br />phase. <br />
