. . <br /> Ordinance No. " <br /> Page 2 <br /> 23.040 Water We11 Contractors License Required No person <br /> shall engage in the business of water well construction or repair <br /> without first being licensed by the State of Minnesota Board of Health <br /> and by the City. No license shall be issued by the City until the <br /> following requirements have been met: <br /> A. Application - Every applicant shall file with the City <br /> an application for licensing on forms provided. Renewal <br /> applications shall be filed annually on or before April lst <br /> of each year. Each application shall include the water well <br /> contractors State license number. <br /> B. Bond - The applicant shall procure and file with the City a <br /> satisfactory surety bond in a minimum amou.nt of $2,000. Such <br /> bond shall be continued in effect at all times _by the licensee, <br /> and shall contain a provision to the effect that it may not be <br /> cancelled for any reason whatsoever until at least thirty (30) <br /> days written notice of intention to cancel shall have been <br /> given to the City by the bonding company. Such bond shall be <br /> conditioned that the licensee will well and truly perform all <br /> contracted work in accordance with the contract and the terms <br /> of this Chapter, and further will save tlie City harmless from <br /> any claims against it arising out of the applicant's business, <br /> and further will restore and replace any damage of any kind <br /> which may be done to any City property. <br /> C. Insurance - The applicant shall _procure and file with � <br /> the City satisfactory liability insurance against damages <br /> arising from the applicant's business, such insurance to be <br /> in the following minimum amounts: - $300,000 for injuries or <br /> death to more than one person from one accident; $100,000 <br /> for injuries or death to more than one person from one accident; <br /> $50,000 for property damage from one accident. <br /> D. Fee - There shall be no fee charged by the City for <br /> licensing of water well contractors . <br /> E. Approval by Council - Applicant shall satisfy the City <br /> Council that the applicant is qualified by training and <br /> experience to engage in the business of water well construction <br /> or repair in accordance with the requirements of this code. <br />
