„ ” `' � <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 211 <br /> AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br /> CITY OF ORONO RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF <br /> CHAIRPERSON AND VICE CHAIRPERSON AND VACANCIES <br /> OF THOSE POSITIONS FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION, <br /> PARK COt2MISSION AND HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION; <br /> AMENDING CHAPTERS 7, 9 AND 12 OF THE ORONO <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CERTAIN SECTIONS <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br /> Section 1. Chapter 7 of the Municipal Code of the City <br /> of Orono is amended by amending Section 7. 030 to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 7 . 030. Organization - Meetings. The council shall <br /> appoint a chairperson and vice chairperson from among the <br /> appointed members for the term of one year commencing January <br /> lst of each year. Any vacancy of the chairperson or vice <br /> chairperson shall be filled by appointment by the council for <br /> the unexpired portion of the term. The connnission may create <br /> and fill such other offices and committees as it may determine. <br /> The commission shall hold at least one regular meeting <br /> each month. It shall adopt rules for the transaction of busi- <br /> ness and shall keep a record of its resolutions, transactions, <br /> findings and determinations, which record shall be a public <br /> record. Expenditures of the commission shall be within amounts <br /> appropriated for the purpose by the City Council. <br /> Section 2. Chapter 9 of the Municipal Code of the City <br /> of Orono is amended by amending Section 9. 040 to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 9 . 040. Organization - Meetings.
