The program consisted of two main presenters who <br />discussed the issues of Customer Service and Customer Relations <br />as they relate to public sector organizations and secondly <br />discussed Media and Public Relations in the public sector. The <br />sessions were extremely valuable in pointing out perspectives in <br />both the customer and media area that are not often considered in <br />the public sector. It is hoped that in the next few months I <br />will be able to share some of this information with staff in an <br />informal training session. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATION - JUNE 13TH MEETING - At the <br />PIannlnq Commissionne regular meeting on May 16tA they were asked <br />to react to the outline regarding the responsibilities of the <br />P..anning Commission and their relationship to the Council. As a <br />result of that the Chair and Vice Chair will be available as <br />representatives to discuss this issue with the Council at the <br />Council's June 13th meeting. <br />MARINA LICENSING - As noted in the attached sample letter, Mike <br />Gillis n his (rdreated to the marinas that he will be out to visit <br />each of the sites within the next few weeks. Based on that he <br />will be making a recommendation at the June 13th meeting <br />regarding the continuing process. He is presently anticipating <br />recommending a site visit by Planning Commission and the <br />Councilmembers for all the sites wish hopefully having <br />consideration of the licenses by the Council in July. <br />299 HOLLANDER ROAD - One of the issues raised by the resident at <br />this_iddress was the Police Department efforts to retrieve his <br />missing cat. At one point Mr. Hollander did have three cats <br />missing, however, two have returned home. The attached letter <br />from the Police Department, by Officer Fischenich, outlines what <br />steps he had taken in response to Mr. Hollander's complaint. The <br />cats were originally reported missing on 4/21/88, Officer <br />Fischenich together with other officers have investigated the <br />matter. <br />SPRING CLEAN-UP NUMBER 2 - The second day of clean-up held on May <br />7, 1988 resulted -in 7 duspaters being taken for a total this year <br />between the two clean-up days of 17-18 dumpsters of debris being <br />removed (each dumpater carries between 39 and Ss cubic yards of <br />trashi. <br />
