Attend the public hearing(s), present the proposed ordinances along with <br />appropriate background, assist the City Officials in their deliberations, and answer <br />questions posed by the public. <br />MEETINGS, PRESENTATIONS AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />It is anticipated that the successful completion of the new HC, Highway Commercial <br />and PUD, Planned Unit Development District ordinances will requii at least two <br />meetings with the Planning Commission and two meetings with the City Council. One <br />of the meetings before the Planning Commission will be a public hearing and one of the <br />meetings with the City Council may be a public hearing. The CONSULTANT shall <br />present the ordinance and appropriate background at each of these meetings. <br />PRODUCT TO BE PROVIDED <br />The CONSULTANT shall provide the CLIENT with a preliminary draft, hearing drafts and <br />final versions of both the proposed HC, Highway Commercial and PUD, Planned Unit <br />Development District ordinances. The CONSULTANT shall also provide other written and <br />graphic materials required to explain the nature of the proposed performance standards. <br />INFORMATION TO BE FURNISHED BY THE CLIENT <br />The CLIENT shall be responsible for providing legal services as may be required. The <br />CONSULTANT shall work in close liaison with these experts throughout the course of <br />the project. None of these services will be requested without prior consent from the <br />CLIENT. <br />The CLIENT shall be responsible for providing updated boundary survey information --nd <br />legal descriptions, as may be required by City Ordinances, and topography at a scale of <br />I"=100' with two (2) foot contour intervals <br />COMPLETION TIME <br />The work outlined above will begin immediately upon receipt of the executed contract <br />and will I-e completed as expeditiously as possible unless delayed for reasons of <br />unexpected emergencies, forces beyond the control of the parties, or by request of a <br />party acquiesced in writing by the other party. If so delayed for more than ninety (90) <br />days at the request of the CLIENT, the CONSULTANT reserves the right to renegotiate <br />the contract to account for rising costs before resuming work. <br />COST OF SERVICES <br />The work performed will be charged for on a Time Plus Materials basis with an <br />estimate of five thousand five hundred dollars ($5,500.00). We will seek approvals as <br />.ickly and judiciously as possible. All work and meetings will be computed in <br />a«ordance with the attached Standard Rate Schedule. <br />
