Siting of picnic tables, grills, benches and other camp <br />furnishings at Point Charming. <br />g. Continuation of brush cleaning required for establishing tent <br />camp sites. <br />h. Construction of approved dock capable of supporting camp and <br />transient use. <br />i. Establishment of a helicopter landing area for use by camp and <br />emergency response personnel. <br />j. Establishment of a fenced garbage consolidation area. <br />k. Securing to the satisfaction of Orono staff any building <br />or other areas considered hazardous. <br />1. Development of a new renovation requirements baseline plan for <br />the remaining buildings after re -inspection by Orono staff. <br />T k. Other Relevant Issues and Needs <br />a. Worker tent camping to begin immediately with a maximum of <br />fifty-seven (57), one (1) per acre. <br />b. Adequate fire protection and fire extinguishers will be <br />provided for overnight campers and during burn activities. <br />c. New construction and burn permits will be separately secured <br />from Orono. <br />d. The camp manager is Mark Peterson, who began his duties on <br />April 1, 1988. Mr. Peterson has had years of experienc,, in <br />camp operations and will prove to be an excellent resource <br />for ensuring plan goals are met. Fie can be reached at 474- <br />1958. Mr. Peterson is chartered to supervise work crews and <br />contractors as well as scheduling and coordination of activi- <br />ties. His presence on the Island will also ease coordination <br />and inspection responsiveness. <br />e. All buildings will remain secured until approval is gained for <br />their use. <br />f. Septic, latrine and water supply elements will require <br />inspection, renovation and approval by Orono and State <br />inspectors. <br />g. A current certificate of insurance will be provided. <br />h. Two permanent slips will be required for use by camp -owned <br />boats prior to camp re -opening. Approval for six permanent <br />slips for camp use and up to twenty transient slips will be <br />
