Motion, ,\yes 1111, SESSION <br />Nays 11], Reese voting Nay. <br />Items for discussion at the 2-13-88 work sessions are to be Nos. <br />1, 2, 3, and 10 of the short term goals, and Nos. 1 of the long term <br />goals. Item 3 of long term goals should be considered at a March <br />session, again after the "Dock" Committee meeting on March 12. <br />Rascop reported that <br />the Metropolitan <br />Council has indicated that: <br />COMPREHENSIVE <br />(1) The LMCD is not <br />including enough <br />agencies in working through <br />PLAN: <br />recommendations of the <br />Task Force. (2) <br />A. recommendation may be made <br />for $100,000 to the <br />LMCD to spee(',•,,r <br />its Comprehensive Plan, the <br />GRANT TO <br />money to be a grant, <br />not a loan. (3) <br />General information: in a new <br />SPEED ALONG <br />tax proposal, bonding <br />was cut and by-passed *he Met Council, so that <br />the Met Council will <br />have to issue its <br />own bo`-ds or go :o the Legis- <br />lature; therefore, it <br />appears that any <br />monetary help fo•- Lake Minne- <br />tonka will have to come from ovitside funding. <br />Regarding the Comprehensive Plan, it was an od t tat bids had & BIDS <br />been received, and anyone, in addition to of. nterested in <br />reviewing the bids within 15 to 18 days shou' :tact an officer <br />or the Executive Director. <br />Reese requested Board input to Metro Council's draft feasibility <br />report on a boat -launch parking lot in Mound. Part of the 198i State <br />Bonding Bill allocated $250,000 for possib'e use in developing <br />parking and a pedestrian underpass to support he public access site <br />at Mound Bay Park. Rascop added that the ,)Ian meets the new DNR <br />requirement that parking for a public access be in line -of -site of <br />the access. <br />
