MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 22, 1988 <br />CRYSTAL BAY ROAD - SHORELINE DAMAGE REPAIR CONTINUED <br />Public Works Director Gerhardson stated it was possible <br />that it would be cheaper if repaired individually. He <br />stated he has approximate repairs costs but did not <br />include them with this information at this time. <br />Councilmember Callahan felt the letter sent by staff to <br />the property owners was unclear in the fact that the <br />damage must be fixed and felt there would be a lack of <br />response to the letter from the property owners. <br />This item was reviewed by Council as an informational <br />item at this time. No Motion. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S EVALUATION AND GOAL SETTING* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson,that Council accept the various <br />documents from the Administrator and that the 1987/88 <br />Goal Setting together with Council discussion of the <br />Administrator's third year performance be placed on the <br />agenda for April 2.5, 1988. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE - TERI HAAB* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, that Council approve a three <br />month leave of absence for Teri Naab during which time <br />she will utilize hPr a.:uumulated vacation and sick leave <br />hours. In addition, the Council authorizes staff to <br />contract with Temporaries -to -Go Office Personnel <br />Services to fill the vacant position for a period of <br />three months. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS* <br />RESOLUTION #2378 <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, that. Council adopt Resoluticn <br />42378 establishing the 1988 Weight Limits for City <br />Streets from March 15 through May 15, 1988. Motion, <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY <br />Councilmember Goetten asked about the options in thi3 <br />policy for part-time employees? <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated that policy would <br />give part-time employees the same options (based on a <br />percentage of their normal day) as full-time employees. <br />fie stated reference to part-time employees would be, <br />incorporated in the proposed statement of policy tc <br />clarify this point. <br />Councilmember Peterson asked what employees represented <br />by a collective bargaining unit would do in this case? <br />10 <br />
