MINUTES OF THE RBGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 22, 1988 <br />CITY OF ORONO COMPENSATION PROGRAM CONTINUED <br />Councilmember Peterson concurred with Councilmember <br />Goetten. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson requested Council <br />consideration for approving the adjustments for the <br />previously mentioned four employees at this time. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution 12377 <br />Implementing 1988 Compensation Adjustments for the <br />following -positions: <br />Asst. Finance Director <br />Recorder - PT <br />Police Secretary - PT <br />Clerical I - PT <br />and table the balance of proposed compensation <br />adjustments at this time. Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 1. <br />Mayor Grabek voted nay because he is in favor of <br />approving the entire plan. Motion carried. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to table the balance of the <br />Compensation Plan at this time. Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 1. <br />Mayor Grabek voted nay. Motion carried. <br />STUBB'S BAY - SBPTIC BVAWATION* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to accept the Stubbs Bay <br />Alternative Waste Management Study as an information <br />item for discussion at a future meeting. Motion, AyeL <br />4, Nays 0. <br />CRYSTAL BAY ROAD - SHORELINE DAMAGE REPAIR <br />Councilmember Callahan requested clarification of <br />staff's accomplishing the repair of the damage. <br />Public Works Director Gerhardson explained that the City <br />does not own any of the street right-of-way through the <br />affected properties, and feels .t is very difficult to <br />repair the damage to the properties individually, <br />therefore, recommends all property owners agree to one <br />repair project with costs divided amc-ng the affected <br />property owners an(' proceed with a feasibility study. <br />Staff also recommends obtaining easements be given to <br />the City for the paved area plus (10) feet on each side <br />of the pavement. He noted the three options to <br />repairing the shoreline. <br />Councilmember Peterson asked staff if any repair costs <br />have been determined, and if it would be less costly if <br />property owners repaired the damage individually? <br />
