12588.-' <br />STATEMENT OF POLICY REGARDING <br />INCLEMENT WEATHER <br />AS IT RELATES TO WORK ATTENDANCE <br />As it relates to extreme weather conditions such as, but not <br />limited to snow, rain, tornadoes, etc. <br />I. When in the City Administrator's (or his designee's) opinion <br />conditions are such that the City Administration office or. <br />offices are declared closed all such employees will receive a <br />normal day's pay. It shall be the inlividual employee's <br />responsibility to contact their immediate supervisor to <br />determine if such a declaration has been made. If such <br />declaration has been made and any employee does arrive for <br />work and is able to perform their assigned tasks for the <br />normal duty hours such employee will be compensated their <br />normal pay plus an equal amount of hours of time off at a <br />later date as determined by their supervisor. If such <br />employee does arrive but can not perform their normal <br />assigned duties such employee shall receive a minimum of two <br />(2) hours of compensatory time off at a later date as <br />determined by their supervisor. <br />II. If the City Administrator (or his designee) has not declared <br />the Administrative office or offices closed it shall be the <br />responsibility of every employee to report to their assigned <br />work station as per Section 205 of the Administrative and <br />Personnel Policy manual. <br />If an employee is unable to report to their assigned work station <br />then the following options shall apply; <br />A. If the entire normal work period is involved: <br />1. Use of the Personal Holiday, <br />2. Use of vacation or <br />3. Time off without pay. <br />D. If less than the normal work period is involved: <br />1. Use of vacation, <br />2. Time off without pay or <br />3. Make up the time in the same or next subsequent pay <br />period as approved and scheduled by the employee's <br />department head. <br />L <br />
