304. FRINGE BENEFITS W-MENCEMENT <br />Benefits shall begi to accrue on thE! first day of employment <br />unless otherwise stated. <br />306. VACATION <br />1. Vacation leave is .ithorized absence from work, with pay, <br />granted employees as ou' ined in 304. The amount of vacation <br />leave is dependent upon r i employee's lencth of service measured <br />from the last date of h j re in accordance with the following <br />schedule, except that r,-:w employees shall not begin to use <br />vacation leave until they �-)ave been employed six (6) months. <br />1-5 years 10 days annual vacation <br />6-15 years = 15 days annual vacation <br />16 years plus = 20 days annual vacation <br />2. Vacation leave shall not be earned by any employee during a <br />leave of absence without pay, suspension or time otherwise not <br />worked or paid, or otherwise not compensated, if such absence <br />exceeds ten (10) calendar days in the employee's anniversary year. <br />3. Administration of Vacation Leave. The following procedures <br />will be followed in administering the vacation policy of the City: <br />a. For the convenience of employees going on vacation the <br />City will, on request, make advance payment of <br />compensation due for the pay periods falling within the <br />vacation period. Such requests should be made at the <br />time the vacation is requested and in no case less than <br />two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the vacation. <br />One week vacation pay shall equal the employee's regular <br />straight time weekly earnings. <br />2 <br />
