within 6 months and if still not to expected range they <br />will not receive the next annual adjustment when it <br />comes due. <br />2. Market Condition Adjustment <br />A. If a person is within 5% of the estimated market for <br />their job no further market consideration will be given. <br />B. If they are not within 5% of the estimated market <br />for the job the following steps will be followed: <br />1. Multiply the top of the class by 55% <br />2. Multiply the established top of the market by 45% <br />3. Add those together to determine the maximum <br />total step allowed. Multiply by the appropriate <br />percentage (85, 90, 95, 100) of the step they <br />should be going to, to determine the appropriate <br />step allowed. <br />3. Selected Position Credit Adjustment - For selected positions <br />an adjustment is made because of the uniqueness of those <br />positions and once the maximum total step allowed has been <br />determined the credit should be multiplied for these additional <br />duties. Positions and percentages are as follows: <br />a. Acting Administrator - 5% on the persons base rate <br />b. Police Chief - 5% determined for duties as Police <br />Chief and as Emergency Prepardness Director for <br />other communities based as follows: <br />- 2% Long Lake <br />- 2% Spring Park <br />- 1% Minnetonka Beach <br />4. Positions Above the Ex ected Performance Line <br />a.) If the position in question is -less than 5% above <br />the class expected performance line, they will receive <br />only annual line adjustment increases. <br />b.) If the top of the position is more than 5% above <br />the phase in will be left to the recommendation of the <br />City Administrator. <br />5. Positions Less Than 40 Hours - The following maximums shall <br />apply for part-time regular employees: <br />- Under 20 hours (as established for the position) <br />- 20 - 28 Step 1 maximum <br />- 28 - 35 Step 2 maximum <br />- 35 - 40 Step 3 maximum <br />These step ranges will be determined using 85, 90, 95 <br />and 100% of these maximums. <br />IMPLEMENTATION -CRITERIA <br />Initial criteria for determining the level of pay to commence the <br />I <br />
