Long Lake shall purchase, own and maintain in good order <br />31. such fire apparatus and equipment as it may consider necessary and <br />32. suitable for fire service and fire protection to Orono and to such <br />33. other municipalities or individuals as Long Lake contracts with, it <br />34. being understood that property within Long Lake shall have the <br />35. first call on the service of the Long Lake Fire Department. <br />36. 5. Long Lake agrees to furnish not less than five (5) firemen <br />37. on each call within the said boundries as shown on the said map in <br />38. the City of Orono. <br />39. 6. That Long Lake shall care -I liability insurance protection <br />40. itself against damage claims of its firemen for personal injuries <br />41. sustained while in service within tri said limits of Orono as heretofor <br />42. set forth, and further carry liability insurance saving both parties <br />43. harmless so far as negligent acts of the firemen of Long Lake are <br />44. concerned. <br />45. 7. A. Cc.',mand Responsibility. The fire chief of Long Lake <br />46. or his deputy shall have the sole and exclusive right and responsibility <br />47. to prescribe the manner and method of aivinq the alarm for fire within <br />R <br />the service area, and <br />to prescribe <br />the manner and me of responding <br />49. <br />o calls and rendering <br />the services <br />contemplated. The said fire chief <br />50. <br />or his deputy shall immediately <br />upon <br />arrivi— -t the scene of any alari,i <br />51. <br />or ::ire emergency have <br />the sole and <br />exclusi,,sponsibilitl and <br />52. <br />authority tc direct and <br />control anv <br />and all Ii--efightinq anc emergency <br />53. <br />operations at such scene <br />cr scenes, <br />including the direction of Orono <br />54. <br />polica officers at the <br />scene with respect <br />to traffic control, orotection <br />55. <br />of citizens, and ether <br />incidents of <br />the emeraencv. <br />
