CONTRACT FOR FIRE PROTECTION <br />i. This agreement, made and entered into this day of <br />2. 19 , by and between the City of Long Lake, a municipal corporation <br />3. of the county of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, (herein after called <br />4. "Long Lake") and the City of Orono, a municipal corporation of 'tie <br />5. County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota (herein after called "Orono"): <br />6. 1. In consideration of the terms, covenants and other matters <br />7. that are hereafter set forth, Long Lake agrees to furnish fire service <br />8. and protection to the property located in Orono and as shown, on the <br />9. city map of Orono, which map "1988 fire service districts is incor- <br />10. porated herein by reference" and Long Lake further agrees that its <br />11. firemen will make a reasonable effort to attend fires within the <br />12. said limits of the City of Orono when notified of such fire; <br />13. That in the event of two fire calls from municipalities or individuals <br />14. under contract with Long Lake, the first call shall have priority, and <br />15. the second call shall be answered as soon as possible, it being <br />16. stood by the parties hereto that Long Lake has m.ide or contemplates <br />17. making similar contrac}s with other municipalities or individuals <br />18. other than Orono. <br />19. <br />2. The road and <br />weather conditions <br />are to be <br />suci, that the fire <br />20. <br />run can be made with <br />reasonable safety <br />to men and <br />Pquipment, and the <br />21. <br />decision of the fire <br />chief or otner fire <br />department <br />officer in charge <br />22. shall be finalized as to whether road and weather conditions make <br />23. a fire run possible or advisable. <br />24. 3. That Lona Lake shall not be liable in any way to Orono, <br />25. or to any inhabitants or property owner wit:iin the limits of the <br />26. City of Orono as shown on said map, or to any person, firm or <br />27. corporation for failure of Long Lake's Fire Department to attend <br />
