City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />Orders to remove or repair the structure were issued by the <br />Building Official on January 21, 1988. These orders have not been complied <br />with. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT -RESOLVED as follows: <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to State <br />Statute 463.251, hereby orders the owner(s) to board -up and secure the <br />structure within ten (10) days. The City Council further orders that <br />unless corrective action is taken within ten (10) days from the date <br />of service of this order, it will result in the City properly securing <br />the building and the cost thereof will be charged against the real <br />estate as provided in State Statute Section 463.21. <br />2. The City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to the foregoing <br />findings and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to <br />463.261 hereby orders the owner(s) of the property to make the <br />following repairs in order to correct the hazardous condition: <br />BASEMENT <br />a) Footings & Foundation: provide new. <br />b) Stairs: provide new with proper headroom - 616" minimum. <br />ELECTRICAL <br />c) Service: provide 100 amp service - installed by licensed <br />electrician. <br />d) t1iring: remove all extention cords used as permanent wiring. <br />e) Receptacles: provide outlets on all walls so that no point on <br />the floor line is mroe than 6 feet. <br />f) Light Fixtures: provide lighting outlets controlled by a <br />switch in each habitable room. <br />PLUMBING <br />g) Cleanouts: provide clean outs per MN State Plumbing Code by <br />licensed master plumber. <br />h) Floor Drain: provide floor drain for excess water release of <br />water heater. <br />i) water heater: provide access to water heater. <br />Paqe 5 of 8 <br />
