Page Three
PROXIMITY TO WHAT IS THE DISTANCE FROM THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE BLACKTOP TO
HOUSES THE HILLSTROM'S HOUSE AT 1160 NORTH WILLOW (NORTHEAST CORNER
OF WILLOW AND 6)?
The Council needs to inquire exactly how close the road wil;
come to this house. The road well be cgtremely close. The
proximity of the road, plus the loss of several valuable
trees, will significantly decrease the market value of this
particular property.
WHAT IS THE DISTANCE FROM THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE BLACKTOP TO
THE HOUSE AT 1125 NORTH WILLOW (NORTHWEST CORNER OF WILLOW
AND 6)?
With the road being moved 14 feet to the west, this house
will have the road considerably closer than otherwise would
have been the case. The Councii needs to protect the
interests of this new property owner by helping her under-
stand the market value of her property will be adversely
affected.
DRAINAGE DRAINAGE BETWEEN HIGHWAY 12 AND COUNTY ROAD 6
At the September 25 meeting, Mr. Bernhardson said that he had
been contacted by Mr. Cox of 1020 North Willow because Mr.
Cox was concerned about drainage. Mr. Bernhardson did not
explain, other than to say that Mr. Cox was concerned.
The problem of drainage in this area needs to be discussed in
some detail. The land on either side of Willow Drive between
Highway 12 and County Road 6 has historically been an
extremely wet area with poor drainage. The last five years
have been comparatively dry, but when normal precipitation
patterns return, this area will again experience drainage
problems. In the spring during years of normal pw-cipitation
and after heavy rains in the summer, the water literally
,tands wit', nowhere to drain.
There are only two natural dips in the half -mile stretch.
The water runoff from this stretch will probably be channeled
into two areas. Where will the runoff from this half -mile
stretch be directed? Into the Battrum's small duck pond at
960 Willow Drive? Into Dickey 'lake (if the water ca..
actually get there)?
