The proposed facility will now be <br />placed at the 973 elevation. The transformer and console range <br />from 12-20' in height above the 973 elevation. An "H" shaped <br />structure of tubular steel will be approximately 40' in height <br />with a 10' additional footage for a lightening rod. The entire <br />base of the facility will be constructr-d of. 4" of crushed rock <br />top surface and several feet of granular fill beneath. No new <br />poles wil'. ',- installed. The existing poles in the area will be <br />employed - installation of new wiring/lines. The transformer <br />is to be u� tl3 for converting or transforming the high voltage <br />from heavy distribution lines into feeder lines aUequate for <br />distribution purposed. Visual impact has been minimized by <br />moving the facility further east and providing additional berming <br />and landscaping. <br />Please review Exhibit E, Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell's letter that <br />opposes the installation of substation. The City has received no <br />other comments from adjacent neighbors. Comments of other <br />neighbors in opposition to the project have been recorded in your <br />minutes of the June meeting. <br />
