^rrno^evrCL <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A <br />CONNECTION CHARGE <br />LIFT STATION #10 BY-PASS <br />ffHERBAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br />existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono owns, operates and maintains <br />Lift Station #10, and <br />WHEREAS, Lift Station #10 is at an age that complete <br />renovation or replacement is necessary, and <br />WHEREAS, due to the construction and upgrading of the <br />current Orono/Minnetonka Beach interceptor by the Metropolitan <br />Waste Control Commission, the City of Orono is given the <br />opportunity to replace Lift Station #10 with a gravity line, and <br />WHEREAS, the construction of the gravity line will allow <br />for the current and future increased capacity to reduce the <br />overflows of domestic sewage upstream into Lake Minnetonka, and <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate that properties that have not <br />been served in the past but will be served in the future should <br />pay for the upgrade of the system. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a connection charge <br />be established for the properties upstream from List Station #10 <br />that do not already have a service stub or paid for sewer in the <br />past and that the connection charge shall be $1,971.62 for 1989 <br />and 1990 with a Current Price Index increase each year <br />thereafter. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 14th day of <br />August, 1989. <br />ATTEST:James R.
