of Minors in Sexual Performance/Pornographic Work and Possessing Pornographic <br />Work Involving Minors. <br />Assault <br />Officers responded to a call of a physical domestic. Upon arrival, officers noted physical <br />injury to the male's head and neck, as well as a ripped shirt. The male party identified <br />the other party involved as his roommate and brother. While interviewing the parties, <br />the victim stated to officers that the he was seated in a chair and the suspect held his <br />legs down and punched him in the face with a closed fist at least three times. One <br />punch was above the left eye causing significant swelling. The victim attempted to get <br />up from the chair but the suspect pushed him back down and placed both hands <br />around his neck and began choking him. The victim stated he was not able to breathe <br />during this roughly 30 second period of time. Red marks and scratch marks on his neck <br />were visible and photographed. Both parties admitted to having consumed alcohol <br />prior to this altercation and also admitted to previous physical encounters. The suspect <br />was arrested and charged with Domestic Strangulation. The case is awaiting a jury trial <br />scheduled in 2025. <br />Criminal Damage to Property <br />Officers responded to a report of property damage. The RP indicated that he had a DJ <br />gig at a venue in Mound and at the end of the night a male kicked one of the hard <br />cases for his equipment. The RP said he and this other male have been exchanging <br />words for the past few days and they also happen to live on the same street. The RP <br />was driving down his street to his house and drove by the other male when he heard a <br />thud near the back side of his truck. The RP pulled over and realized his rear passenger <br />window was shattered. An investigator spoke with the male suspected to have caused <br />the damage to the RP's truck and the suspect admitted to hitting the window on the <br />truck with a closed fist. The total cost to repair the truck is over $2,000.00. The case is <br />currently under court jurisdiction with the disposition of diversion and the suspect <br />ordered to pay restitution. <br />Drug Overdose <br />Officers were dispatched to an overdose where a 19-year-old male was found <br />deceased in his girlfriend's bedroom. It was reported that they had used heroin the <br />night before and the male never woke up after going to sleep. The girlfriend said the <br />heroin was purchased over the dark web and shipped through the mail. This case is still <br />an open investigation. <br />19 <br />65 <br />
