West Metro Drug Task Force <br />Collaborative Partnership <br />The West Metro Drug Task Force (WMDTF) is a multi -agency coordination of drug <br />enforcement in our communities. They work to reduce the supply of illegal narcotics <br />and curb the criminal activity that is associated with drug abuse. The WMDTF is <br />comprised of officers, deputies and sergeants from the Orono Police Department, <br />Medina Police Department, Minnetrista Public Safety, West Hennepin Public Safety, <br />Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, and the South West Metro Drug Task Force that <br />combined with them in 2024. <br />2024 Statistics <br />The WMDTF had another successful year in seizing large quantities of illegal narcotics <br />and confiscating guns and removing them from the streets in our communities.
