LMCD Board 4/26/09 <br />Rascop suggested the Board make a determination that a permanent dock <br />is temporary if removed after five years. <br />It was moved by Cochran, seconded by Pillsbury, to table the current <br />motion temporarily. <br />Discussion proceeded on the definition of the subject docks, i.e. pile <br />driven docks vs. non-pile driven docks if of a seasonal nature. It was agreed <br />that in this case they could be called non-seasonal docks. <br />It was moved by Cochran, seconded by Bjorlin, to bring back the <br />Resolution approving a temporary multiple dock extension of nine slips to 238' <br />using a non-seasonal construction, due to water conditions in Wayzata Bay, for a <br />designated time of five years or if the water does not return to 920.6, for a <br />longer period until it does Notion carried unanimously. <br />d) Minnehaha Creek Watershed District proposed dredging amendments <br />and new Rule K requiring licensing of dredging contractors, recommending support <br />for the dredging amendments, and new Rule E (dredging) <br />It was reported the NCHSD has approved the changes. <br />e) Special Event Permit <br />It was moved by Rascop, seconded by Bjorlin, to approve the Don Shelby <br />U. S. Invitational Bass Tournament, September 29 to October 1, 1989. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />f) Boat lift Relocation <br />It was moved by Foster, seconded by Bjorlin, to approve lakeward <br />extension of boat lifts, subject to Water Patrol criteria for buoys, with <br />reflective markings on all sides and not a hazard to navigation. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />g) Liquor License Renewals <br />It was moved by Pillsbury, seconded by Bjorlin, to approve temporary <br />liquor licenses of John Lambin's Queen of Excelsior, Executive Charters and A1 <br />t( Alma's, pending review of renewal applications by Hennepin County Sheriff and <br />municipal law enforcement agencies. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. ADVISORY COMMITTEE, Chair Ree^e, Consultant Arndorfer <br />a) Subcommittee progress <br />Arndorfer reported the Public Safety Plan draft has come out of sub­ <br />committee. It is the third sub-committe plan to be drafted. Wetlands has had <br />two meetings, the final one April 28. The first meeting of the Lake Use and <br />Lake Access was combined April 20, but in the future tney will be separate. On­ <br />shore has been re-scheduled, waiting for members to respond. <br />- continued
