NXHOTBS of the planning commission meeting FEBRUARY 21, 1989 <br />ZONING FILS #1382-ROGZRS CONTINUED <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth inquired about the proposed use <br />of an existing garage. Mr. Lumry informed her that the Rogers <br />were planning to convert the garage into a recreational area. <br />Mr. Lumry also noted that at some time the Rogers may wish to <br />rebuild and slightly relocate the existing stairway leading to <br />the lake. <br />It was moved *by Planning Commissioner Brown, seconded by <br />Planning Commissioner Hanson, to recommend approval of the <br />average lakeshore setback variance and hardcover variance in the <br />0-75' zone. Moos suggested removal of the storage shed so that <br />there will be no net increase in hardcover. Brown incorporated <br />thdt condition into his motion, Hanson seconded. Gaffron <br />mentioned the fact that the City Engineer was requesting a <br />drainage plan. Mr. Lumry said that it was the Rogers' intention <br />to have that information. Brown also included that condition in <br />his motion; Hanson seconded. Motion, Ayes«3, Kelley and Cohen <br />Nay, because they would prefer hardcover in the 0-75* setback <br />area open or removed, as opposed to converted into structural <br />hardcover. Cohen expressed his concern over the potential of <br />being asked bit by bit for more and more hardcover in the future. <br />CONFIRMATION BY PLANNING COMMISSION OF <br />FORMAT/PEOCEDURAL MODIFICATION BY RETIEfflNG STAFF <br />The Planning Commission unanimously agreed to continue with <br />the change in memc format whereby staff would refrain from the <br />use of recommendations when not appropriate. The Planning <br />Commission would monitor the new procedure for the next few <br />months• <br />PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF JANUARY 17, 1989 MINUTES <br />It was moved by Planning Commissioner Cohen, seconded by <br />Planning Commissioner Hanson, to approve the Minutes of the <br />January 17, 1989 Planning, Commission Meeting. Motion, Ayes*5, <br />Nays«0, Motion passed. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE <br />It was agreed that Planning Commissioner, Sarah Moos, would <br />represent the Planning Commission at the March 13, 1989 City <br />Council Meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The February 21, 1989, Planning Commission Meeting adjourned <br />at 9:05 p.m.
