Planning Commission Appointments Memo <br />Dated 12/28/88 <br />ISSUE - Determination of process for appointment for Planning <br />Commissioners. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's January 9, 1989 Council they <br />directed staff to inquire of Planning Commissioners as to their <br />willingness to continue to serve and any recommendations they may <br />have regarding Chair and Vice Chair. The three who are up for <br />appointment have indicated their desire to be reappointed. The <br />issue of Chair and Vice Chair can be discussed at their March <br />meeting. <br />ALTELRNATIVES - <br />1. Choose to reappoint as presented. <br />2. Undertake a search process to explore alternatives. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATlON - It is recommended that the Council direct staff <br />as to its wishes regarding the Planning Commission appointments <br />which expire the end of March. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by __, seconded by __, that the Council <br />directs staff as to its appointments for the seats that are up <br />for appointment March 31, 1989.
