Bernhardson, City Administrat <br />DATS: December 28, 1988 <br />SUBJBCl^: Planning Commission Appointments <br />llriK: <br />• • <br />4 •4 <br />ISSUE - Determination of what process the Council would like to <br />take regarding its 1989 Planning Commission vacancy appointments. <br />INTRODUCTION - As you may recall the appointments have been <br />delayed until the April timeframe with February and March being <br />the appropriate timeframe for review. <br />DISCUSSION - The terms for the following individuals expire 31 <br />March, 1989: ^ <br />Charles Kelley <br />Maureen Bellows <br />Sara Moos <br />PROCESS ALTERNATIVES - The following represents process <br />alternatives for appointment: <br />1. Automatic appointment of current members interested. <br />2. Refer to Planning Commission for a recommendation. <br />3. Advertise and have a review process to include <br />current members. <br />4. Select other means for appointment. <br />ACTION ALy^RNATIVES - The following represent alternatives for <br />this meeting': <br />1. Determine process <br />2. Table for further discussion <br />RBCOMMBNDATION — It is recommended that this issue be referred to <br />the Planning Commission for their recommendation. <br />PROPOSED NOTION “ Moved by seconded by , that the Council <br />refer the issue of appointments to the Planning Commission for a <br />recommendation.
