Applicants have retained an engineer who has prepared <br />plans for drainage control structures sufficient to cause <br />the drainage on Applicants' Property to be far better <br />following construction of Applicants' pool and any decking <br />proposed to be constructed by Applicants then existed <br />previously. A copy of the engineer's proposal is attached <br />hereto. <br />CONSTRUCTION COSTS <br />1. Cost of pool: $25,000.00 <br />Pool equipment shed: $1,850.002. <br />3. <br />4. <br />Proposed drainage control structure to be constructed by <br />Applicants to improve drainage so as to alleviate <br />hardcover concerns: $1,500.00 <br />Estimated construction costs for proposed pool decking: <br />$10,000.00 <br />VARIANCES REQUIRED <br />1, Set Back variances: <br />a. Set-back from the 75-foot Shoreline set-back <br />requirement. <br />b. Set-back from the 10-foot Side Yard set-back <br />requirement. <br />2. Hardcover reqpiirement variance: <br />a. variance to permit construction of pool decking in the <br />zero hardcover area. <br />HARDSHIP <br />The necessity for a Side Yard set-back variance is attributable <br />to a misunderstanding between Applicants and their neighbor as <br />to the location of the existing Property line. <br />The set-back from the shoreline is necessitated by the unusual <br />configuration of Applicants' lot and the placement thereon of <br />Applicants' home which makes all portions of their rear yard <br />area within the 75-foot shoreline set-back area.
