I <br />k <br />I- <br />if: <br />LMCO Board of Directors October 24. 1990 <br />Martinson moved, Grathwoi seconded, to amend tne section by <br />changing the fourth sentence of Appendix C, Paragraph 0 on Page <br />C-3 to read: The single-family minimum lot standard is 15,000 <br />square feet. except that Excelsior, Mound and Spring Park may <br />have 10,000 square feet and WAYZATA MAY HAVE 9.OUU SQUARE FEET <br />and the last sentence in the subject sentence to read "FOUR <br />coiTununities". Motion carried unanimously. <br />Cochran moved, Grathwoi seconded, to change the wording in <br />the last sentence of "C” to read: However, those four <br />communities are expected ENCOURAGED to move toward the 16,000 <br />square foot standard as development occurs. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Babcock moved, Pillsbury seconded, to table the motion <br />because the exceptions in Appendix C, Sections A. B and C have <br />not been spelled out. Motion failed, with four aye.s .and eight <br />nays. <br />VOTE ON MOTION AS AMENDED; Voting ava: Foster (Deephaven); <br />Grathwoi (Excelsior); Cochran (Greenwood); Boswinkel (Minnetonka <br />Beach); Lewman (Minnetrista); Reese (MoundRascop (Shorewood); <br />Slocum (Woodland). Voting Nay: Pillsbury (Minnetonka): Babcock <br />(Spring Park); Maiinka (^Hotoria); Martinson (Waysata). Motion <br />carried. <br />Grathwoi moved, Reese seconded, approval of Sections I, <br />Introduction; VII. Implementation;and VIII Partial hist of <br />References Reviewed with the following amendments: Page 87 add-a <br />sentence to Item .3 - “This includes comprehensive plan inventory <br />of the cities." Page 89 Paragraph 1 on the bottom to read: This <br />adoption should be based on the cities' comprehensive plan <br />analysis and coordination with the LMCD. <br />VOTE ON MOTION AS AMENDED: Voting aye: Foster (Deephaven); <br />Grathwoi (Excelsior); Cochran (Greenwood); Boswinkel (Minnetonka <br />Beach): Lewman (Minnetrista); Reese (Mound); Rascop (Shorewood); <br />Martinson (Wayzata); Slocum (Woodland). Voting nay: Babcock <br />(Spring Park); Maiinka (Victoria); Pillsbury (Minnetonka). <br />Motion carried. <br />Uarnack said the MN DNR looks forward to working with the <br />LMCD and cities. Ho suggested meetings with the local planning <br />commissions or planners to review the process on how the <br />shoreland rules will be adopted. <br />Grathwoi moved, Reese seconded, that the Board hereby <br />Resolve to formally adopt the Long Term Management Plan of the <br />Lake Minnetonka Conservation District, as amended, as the <br />official Management Plan of the District and that staff be <br />directed to forward the Plan to the Metropolitan Council. <br />- Vote on Page 5
