Resolution Establish Park Dedication Fund <br />Dated _ _ _ <br />ISSUE - Presentation of the process for implementation of the <br />revised park dedication fee. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's April 9, 1990 Council meeting <br />they adopted Attachment A revising the basis on which the City, <br />determines park dedication and what situations it applied. <br />process for deterraini t ion of a park <br />dedication fee was based on a formula depending on the number of <br />dwelling units in a subdivision. The new ordinance is based on <br />the land value for residential purposes prior to the subdivision. <br />In addition it does provide a means for collection of a park <br />dedication fee for lots that have not previously paid a fee. To <br />process can be handled in the following manner for all <br />applications submitted after 1 May 1990. <br />A. Subdivisions - The process for new subdivisions is as <br />follows: <br />1. Receipt of subdivision by the Building & Zoning <br />staff. <br />2. Referral to City Assessor for determination of <br />the appropriate preliminary subdivision value. <br />3. Once the value is determined, referral back to <br />Public Works Director and Park Commission for <br />recommendation as to the amount of land and/or fee <br />that they desire. <br />4. Once recommendation has been, referral to the <br />Planning Commission and/or Council as appropriate <br />and timely prior to consideration for preliminary <br />subdivision. <br />5. If the applicant does not agree provision for the <br />appeal is set forth in the ordinance. <br />6. Upon final subdivision approval payment to the <br />City to be placed in the City's Park Dedication <br />Fund.
