CITY OF ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL NO. 7518 A RESOLUTION FOR THE CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT UTILITY BILLS AND ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE INVOICES TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR COLLECTION WITH THE 2025 PROPERTY TAXES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota has enacted Chapter 14 of the Orono City Code which pertains to the payment and collection of water, sewer and storm water charges and annual service charges for recycling, and the on-site sewage treatment (septic) program; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota has also enacted Chapter 75 of the Orono City Code which pertains to the payment and collection of general service charges; and WHEREAS, the charges identified in the attached list of properties are delinquent in nature; and WHEREAS, an advanced ten-day mailed notice and a published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing will be held thereon the 28 day of October 2024, at which all persons desiring to be heard are given an opportunity to be heard thereon. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono as follows: That the Hennepin County Special Assessment Division is hereby authorized to place the delinquent water, sewer and storm water charges, annual service charges for recycling, the on-site sewage treatment (septic) program charges, and accounts receivable invoices, on the 2024 property tax rolls, payable in 2025, at eight percent (8%) per annum, against the specified properties as set forth in the following Exhibits. Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on October 28, 2024.
