LMCD Board of Diroctors December 6, 1969 <br />b) Progress on Equlpoient Maintenance <br />Reese reported Harvester It2 will be the last to have <br />maintenance completed within a week and then put in storage. <br />Responding to Babcock’s question, the executive director stated <br />maintenance was not specifially budgeted for 1989 with no <br />experience on which to base a maintenance budget. <br />c) Project Manager <br />Reese submitted a position description for a part time <br />project manager who would serve as an independent consultant to <br />the weed control program, taking over most responsibilities now <br />conducted by the executive director. <br />Rascop asked liow this position affects consultant Rob <br />Merila's duties. T!i2 executive director reported that some of <br />Merila’s duties will be ad.iustcd, and the pro.iect director’s <br />duties would include items tliat are not within Merila’s <br />expertise. Merila will report to the project manager. Cost of <br />this consulting service will be incorporated into the 1990 weed <br />coitorol budget. <br />Reese moved, Cochran seconded, to authorize <br />advertisement for a part time project manager consultant for the <br />weed control program, candidates to be considered at the January <br />board meeting. Motion carried, Rascop voting nay. <br />3) LAKE USE COMMITTEE, Chair Pillsbury <br />a) Minutes <br />Pillsbury moved, Foster seconded, approval of the <br />minutes of the 11/19/89 meeting of the Lake Use Committee. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />b) Charter Boat Code Amendment <br />Foster moved, Pillsbury seconded, to approve the <br />draft of an Ordinaiice Relating to the Registration of Charter <br />Boats Amending Section 3.07, Subdivision .3 and 4, with an <br />addition at the end of Subd. .3 to include State of Minn<-f.'{‘'M<a <br />inspect.Irns a.s may be required by law from time to time. Kotion <br />carried unanimously. <br />c) Reaffirm Resolution No. b9. Regarding fl.shing <br />contest renewal application deadline. <br />Foster moved, Reese seconded, reaffirmation of <br />Resolution No. 59 allowing fishing contest renewal application <br />deadline to be within 90 days of event date to avoid late <br />penalty.
