DISCUSSION - The initial alternatives regarding Baldut Park Road <br />ari“outTined in the letter sent to Ms. Weihe. It is expected <br />that a voluntary association, given the tenor of the <br />neighborhood, will not accomplish the desired objective ’s. It is <br />..ossible that the City would not even receive a 133% petition. <br />I'he City currently is reviewing its requirement to provide access <br />to certain properties where it has right-of-way. (This becomes a <br />variation on the Slaughter case as to the mandate to provide <br />"legal access" when a building permit has been issued.) <br />ALTERNATIVE - <br />Policy Alternatives - These are outlined in the letter to Ms. <br />WeThe, iTul: in light of the other situations other alternatives <br />may come to light. <br />MEETING ACTION - <br />I. Acceptance of staff information and directing staff to <br />discuss at a future date. <br />2. Establishment of City direction on the matter based on this <br />information. <br />3. Table entire matter until future meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION- It is recommended that the Council initially <br />dTscus‘s'"the i~r concerns related to this item and based on that <br />staff will bring it back for discussion at the February 8, 1988 <br />Council meeting. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, that the Council <br />FTavTng discussed the matter table the issue until its February 8, <br />1988 meeting at which time Council will give staff general <br />direction in relationship to these issues.
