Minnetrista; Thomas <br />Reese. Mound; JoEllen Hurr. Orono; Douglas Babcock. Secretary, <br />Spring Park; Robert Slocum, Woodland. Also present: Charles <br />LeFevere, Counsel; Sgt. Wm. Chandler, Sheriff’s Water Patrol; <br />Rachel Thibault. Administrative Technician; Eugene Strommen. <br />Executive Director. <br />ffeabers Absent: <br />Rascop• Shorewood. <br />David Cochran. Cliair, Greenwood; Robert <br />Oath of Office: <br />LeFevere administered the 0 th of Office to newly appointed <br />Board nembers George Owen, Victoria, and Duane Mai'kus, Wayzata. <br />They were seated as members of the Board of Directors of the Lake <br />Minnetonka Conservation District. Foster welcomed them to the <br />Board. , , <br />LeFevere administered the Oath of Office to the newly <br />elected officers of the Board of Directors, Thomas Fieese. Vice <br />Chair, Jan Boswinkel. Treasurer, and Douglas Babcock. Secretary. <br />Foster turned the gavel over to Vice Chair Reese. <br />Reading of Minutes <br />Hurr moved, Grathwol seconded, to approve the minutes of tFie <br />9/25/91 meeting with the following correction: Page 8 Conflict <br />of Interest. Paragraph 3, line 2 to read "LeFevere said ti^at <br />adding the word "To" goes beyond the requirements of the law." <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Public Conments <br />Gabriel Jabbour, Orono CounciImember. informed the Board <br />that the DNR has taken an option for a piece of land on Maxwell <br />Bay for a public access. Jabbour consider! this of interest <br />because the Management Plan suggested it would be years before <br />DNR would have the money to do such things, but they are already <br />moving full steam ahead. <br />Strommen presented a letter from Greg Rye. Wayzata <br />Councilmember• suggesting the portion of the Management <br />referring to the removal of Board members by the LHCD Board be <br />changed to "An LMCD Board Member of a City can be replaced only <br />at the discretion of the appointing city." Reese asked the Board <br />if any action was preferred. <br />itJiL,
