Nagel Set Back Variance Application, Greenwood. , j i ♦♦The conunittee received a memo from Thibault and a letter from Lefevere commenting on the procedure to be followed in the Nagel variance application. ^ 4. In following the committee instructions of 7/13/31 to prepare a proposed solution to the variance for the Terrance Nagel property, 21095 Byron Circle, the staff has concluded a new notice of public hearing is necessary. The notice would inform adjacent dock owners, Paris, Saucier, and Cochrane’s Boat Yard, that their dock use areas may be adjusted. . BJorlin moved, Foster seconded, to recommend publishing a new notice of public hearing which informs adjacent docks owners that their dock use area may be adjusted. Motion carried unanimously. Foster suggested the staff work with Nagel to prepare a proposal in concept form. He also suggested using the drafting sorvioes Nagel offered at the 7/13 meeting. 2. Excelsior Park Tavern, Excelsior Bay, Excelsior Grathwol reported he has talked to Fred Bruntjen. Excelsior Park Tavern partner, and it was agreed further review is needed to determine the Tavern’s intended use of their docks. Foster moved, Slocum seconded, to recommend the staff and Chair meet with the owner of the Excelsior Park Tavern for an exchange of ideas. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Gayle’s Marina Multiple Dock License Renewal Thibault reported that a survey was brought to the office Friday afternoon, 8/9. There was no time to review it. It was noted that while the survey was prepared by an engineering firm, it is not signed and certified. There was discussion of the private navigation posts has positioned at the channel leading to the gas pump. The consensus of the committee was to have the posts removed,, Foster feels they are an aid to navigation. Foster moved, Rascop seconded, to recommend Gayle s narina remove the posts and make application for a suitable navigation buoy as an aid to navigation. Motion carried unanimously. Gayle’s Marina is to be acknowledged for the survey, but advised it is to be certified by the preparing engineer. Rascop moved. Cochran seconded, to recommend renewal or Gayle’s Marina multiple dock license, subject to verification of the survey furnished as cor. *'ared to the license on IJJ®* certification of the drawing by the preparer and make application to replace posts with a conforming, channel marking buoy system within the DOA. Motion carried unanimously. - :
