r <br />K <br />;M <br />H <br />i;\:v^- <br />LHCD Board of Oiractors Julr 24, 1991 <br />The executive director reported that the matter of the posts <br />has been called to Gayle’s Marina attention. The Marina wants <br />know what they can use to mark the channel. Measurements taken <br />by Hennepin County Lake Improvement Section of water a- r>tha in <br />the area demonstrate that there is no need for the posts. <br />Foster responded that he has observed guide buoys all over <br />the Lake. He would like to see the posts marked with red for the <br />port aide and green for the starboard side. Babcock would rather <br />see buoys with LMCD permission. He feels the markers at G«yl® » <br />serve a purpose. Thibault observed the posts are beyond the Cock <br />Ose suggested LMCD regulate all buoys on the Lake. <br />There could be different sizes for different uses. In his <br />opinion the private buoys serve a purpose but should he <br />^**'*^Hurr suggested this be a matter for the study of the License <br />and Permit Fee Review subcommittee. <br />Lefevere said he has expressed a concern in the past about <br />private buoys. They should be looked at by the LMCD as to <br />standards, policies and procedures. „ ., , <br />3) BDP Partners/Opper Lake Minnetonka Yacht Club, <br />Spring Park Bay • j j * qdpBabcock moved. Reese seconded, to approve the RDP <br />Partners/Upper Lake Minnetonka Yacht Club Multiple Dock <br />Renewal subject to providing amenities per the Order of 7/ZB/B». <br />Motion carried unanimously. c«4 4.h«^„w«4) The Harborage Homeowners Assn., Smithtown Bay <br />Babcock moved, Foster seconded, to approve the <br />Multiple Dock License Renewal Application of The Harborage <br />Homeowners Assn, with a Temporary Low Water Variance to « <br />length of 124», and approval of the Variance Ofjer **ith the <br />following addition ’A variance is granted from sio« <br />back requirements....” Motion carried unanimously. 4.4 4.^ <br />5) Babcock moved, Foster seconded to have staff notify <br />all Multiple Dock Licensees with temporary low water variance <br />that they be prepared to bring their docks in to the normal <br />locations for the 1992 season. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. BMTIRONMniT, Eurasian Water Milfoil Task Force, Chair Reese <br />A Chair Cochran commended Reese for the manner in wh^h he <br />handled his participation in the Lake Minnetonka Lakeshore Owners <br />Association panel discussion.
