He felt that the Council should Instruct the City <br />Administrator to look for emergency fire coverage. <br />Butler noted that Mayor Peterson had spoken to the Mound <br />Fire Department and wanted to know 1f she was discussing their <br />provision for retirement and disability or about expanding <br />coverage. <br />Gerhardson noted that she was concerned about the retirement <br />fund. <br />Butler noted that in the resume of Mr. Moorse, one of the <br />things he has done was put together a voluteer fire department <br />and perhaps he could do it again. <br />Callahan noted that Investigation was done by the former <br />Admlnlstrrtor as to satellite fire stations. This should be <br />looked Into further. He wanted the current and future contracts <br />for both police and fire to be placed on the agenda for the <br />September 9th meeting. <br />Jabbour asked If staff should be sending out RFPs for <br />attorneys regarding criminal procedures. <br />Callahan explained that Barrett had monticnoj that it may be <br />better for Orono to have another criminal prosecutor, possibly <br />someone who does not have downtown rent payments, because <br />payments of fines and costs that are awarded to the City have <br />been cut down quite a bit. This should be put on the agenda <br />under the Attorney's report for the September 9th agenda. <br />1
