LV <br />:v <br />Housing Redevelopment Authority <br />July 12, 1991 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />- Public Hearing <br />It should be noted that some activities of the Housing <br />Redevelopment Authority also require action of the City Council, <br />which may result in holding separate meetings consecutively for <br />the two bodies to act on the same item, even if the membership is <br />identical. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Issue #1 - Holding a public hearing. <br />a) Hold a public hearing <br />b) Continue until the next meeting. <br />c) Conclude the public hearing. <br />2.Issue >2 - Determination as to establishment if the hearing <br />is concluded: <br />a) Adopting a resolution establishing a HRA <br />b) Amend and adopt. <br />c) Choose not to establish a HRA. <br />d) Table for further discussion. <br />3.Issue »3 - Appointment of HRA Commissioners if a HRA is <br />established: <br />aj Appoint Council Members as Commissioners of the <br />HRA and include in establishment resolution. <br />b) Select other individuals for membership on the HRA <br />c) Table for further discussion <br />RECOMMENDATION - Upon conclusion of the public hearing, it is <br />recommended that given t?additional flexibility with no <br />requirement of the HRA undertake any projects if it so chooses <br />not to, that the City establish an HRA and that the Council <br />appoint itselves as members to that HRA. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by ___, seconded by ___, upon conclusion <br />of the public hearing, the City Council adopts Resolution » <br />Making the necessary findings for the implementation of a Housing <br />and Redevelopment Authority within the City of Orono, and further <br />appoints the following people as HRA Commissioners: <br />Ayes , nays <br />MSB/tln
